Too much limited, I always need to go to the web app IN THE DESKTOP to set a configuration, as I cant open Asana web on Safari, because its open the app.
App works really well to stay on top of the software.
Works great across multiple platforms (iPhone, iPad and laptop).
My team depends on ASANA for all project tasks. The tool lets you assign resources, set deadlines for each task, monitor overall project completion, and has a dashboard view to see all projects at once. We also use ASANA for internal use such as strategy and designing a marketing schedule. The mobile app is good for reference, but the web tool (on your desktop) is superior.
Asana is fantastic for our business. However, you have to be good about setting up your own internal use policies to get the most out of it.
The free version is great if you dont need differing security permissions per project. Also has private tasks too! Free meets my needs so far. May upgrade as my projects start making more income if I find it necessary to get my teams to start logging in do task tracking, instead of just me overviewing. Definitely recommend!
I dont like this app. It works so slowly. And I dont understand the menu and interface.
I love Asana! It helps me be organized both at work and school (I use projects as my subjects). And one thing I love about it is the Calendar view cause it gives me good look at my month! UNFORTUNATELY, THE APP DOESNT HAVE IT. I still love the sync from my laptop, work computer, and phone but I really want to see the Calendar on the app!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope they do this on their next update. Other than that, the UI is clean and very friendly and easy to use!
Asana has proven to be an invaluable tool to keep me organized at work and at home. However, the app is lacking imo. I know it was designed to compliment the computer version, but being on the go as I am sure many are, I wish I could do more from the app. One example would be classifying tasks as being something to do today, upcoming, or later (one of my favorite organizational features). The former you can move tasks in between, if and only if, you already have a task in that category. If you have a task marked for later and it is not part of a project you can not access it.
Needs: • Ability to rename and delete projects • Rearranging columns in Board view And of course, Asana still needs the ability to view all my tasks across all workspaces, so that I can plan my day. Thats why Ive switched to Trello, although they dont do it well either. Nice to haves: • Switch between Board and List view in a project (List names simply become headings). • Offline sync
Asana has been instrumental in helping up organize and manage projects. Having the app allows us to stay on top of our to do list on the fly.
Its extremely clunky to navigate between tasks and conversations and not have the project change with them. How could anyone think that was a good idea? Lately, frequent crashes have made this app unusable. I really expect more from Asana at this point. Try harder guys. This is not a good app.
Very good application
Good for viewing, but not at doing. 1. Tasks dont show project names, so tasks are missing context. 2. The number of taps needed to change dates, or ANY detail, is kind of infuriating. Love how other apps let you swipe to snooze. 3. If you get an idea on the go, no way to move it out of the way. (No way to sort as "Later" in app - only Today and Upcoming) 4. And theres no ability to attach anything other than a photo. (Please add Dropbox!) Just super clunky compared to web. Hoping this gets fixed!
Good app, but IOS version is almost impossible to navigate. Just not very well designed.
Great tool for project management
...for a bootstrapping new business!
Very easy to collaborate on projects. The ease in which you can build a plan from there collective wisdom of the entire team is a huge value.
The phone app version is severely limited in functionality. If all team members had consistent computer access there wouldnt be a problem, but this is not the case. From the app one cannot add new members to the project. This is a big oversight when recruiting in the field. New volunteers have to wait to get started until someone gets back to the office and adds them. This can lose days worth of time and resources. Once we can add someone new to a project the app works pretty well-except it would be nice to create work groups without having to create 2 copies of the same task. We have 2 people working together-not 2 separate performances of the same task. Hope the app makers survive some growing pains and take suggestions. Its currently a good app that could be great with some tweaking.
